Lighting Incorporated
In October 1959, Lighting, Inc. opened its doors on Claiborne Avenue, in New Orleans. Founded by Jimmie Ber and Alvin T. Gibson Sr., it specialized in residential and commercial lighting fixtures. Starting with seven employees, including Ber and Gibson, Lighting, Inc. began a long steady growth. In 1961, The Lamp Center opened within Lighting, Inc. Specializing in lamps and lamp shades, and it grew to become a large and important part of the business done by Lighting, Inc.
Today, with more than 50 employees, Lighting, Inc. serves customers across southeastern Louisiana. Our 14 salespeople have a combined lighting sales experience of over 190 years. This knowledge helps us to offer exceptional service and expertise to our customers.
